Several weeks ago Randell tagged me with a Poll (I guess) on Facebook titled "15 Things You Can't Stand But Everyone Else Seems to Love." One of the categories was "Book." So the basically, you were supposed to name a book that you can't stand but everyone else seems to love.
Randell's answer was "self-help books." I thought that was so funny because I love self-help books. To prove it I thought I'd share my current reading list.
- Journal
- The 150 Most Effective Ways to Boost Your Energy (Jonny Bowden, Ph.D., C.N.S.)
- 6 Minute Morning - Toning (Faye Rowe)
- Prevention's Flat Belly Diet (Liz Vaccariello)
- Simplify Your Space (Marcia Ramsland)
- Love and Respect (Dr. Emerson Eggerichs)
- Writing Life Stories (Bill Roorbach)
- Nelson's Kids Bible
- Winning After Losing (Stacey Halprin)
- The Art of the Possible (Alexandra Stoddard)
- Quicken (software)
- 3 Mile Weight Loss Walk (DVD)
- The One Minute Cleaner (Donna Smallin)
- A-Z Storage Solutions (Donna Smallin)
- One-Minute Organizer (Donna Smallin)
- Love and Respect (conference CDs)
- Consumer Reports' - 2009 New Car Buying Guide (sitting atop a stack of vehicle brochures)
Every time I look at my little stack of books, I think of Randell's poll and laugh. The majority of my reading material is self-help. Reading so many things at once probably isn't the most efficient way, but it works for me. The only problem with self-help books is that they all require one thing... action on the part of the reader (i.e., ME!). You can read the best self-help books in the world but it won't do any good if you don't take action on it. LOL...
So, what are you reading?
