Mollie and Canyon's Christmas Program

Last week was Mollie's Christmas program at Mound City Elementary School.  I have to say I was completely surprised - and thrilled - that the song selection was over-the-top Christian.

My favorite song was "Happy Birthday Jesus."  I found the lyrics online and copied them below.

Canyon is in Mollie's class so he was in the young choir, too.  I just never could get a good shot of Canyon.  He was stuck behind someone and I never got a good shot of his entire face.  (Think I'll nickname him "Wilson" after the neighbor on Home Improvement.  We never ever saw his entire face either.  Yeah, I know, most of you have no idea what I'm talking about.  LOL...)

Keep Max Brockus in your prayers

I received a note from Stacy this evening telling me that her dad, Max, was hospitalized.  They don't know exactly what it is, but she said it was a stroke or something like it.

I just wanted you to keep Max, as well as Kelly and Stacy and their families in your prayers as Max recuperates and the girls travel to see their dad.

Hanging of the Greens

At the First Christian Church in Pleasanton it is tradition to decorate the church for the Christmas season the first Sunday evening after Thanksgiving.  I really missed attending that yearly tradition to ring in the holiday season.

But it was so cool to see that there were photos in the Linn County News last week.

If you look in the center photo, you can see someone is holding Karsten up and he's hanging an ornament.

In the bottom photo, you can see BJ and Aubin leading the singing and they were in charge of the Hanging of the Greens.  They are the youth group leaders.  In this same photo, you can see Kolbee and Kodee.  Kolbee is in the back to the left (wearing the blue letter jacket) and Kodee is in the back to the right (wearing the bright red sweater).
